Around the age of 8, I learned how to draw a vintage comic-style woman. My grandma, who has hand-drawn just about every birthday card for as long as I can remember, sat me down one afternoon and taught me the must-knows like drawing a symmetrical face. In doing so, she unintentionally (or very intentionally, she has always known best) lit a creativity fire inside me that has never gone out.

I quickly found myself at Northeast Spruill Oaks Public Library (shout out to any Fulton County friends reading this) checking out dozens of how-to drawing books for safari animals, horses and just about anything I could get my hands on. As I grew a little older, I expanded my creative horizons to photography, sneaking each and every opportunity to snap pictures on my mom’s big girl camera (a ~2003 Sony Cybershot).

Twenty years later, my creative tenacity has led me to become a full-time illustrator and allowed me the privilege to collaborate with fellow creatives across various fields. I’ve worked with small businesses on branding and design projects, brought hundreds of commission pieces to life, and tackled dream projects along the way. When I’m not doodling dogs holding martinis or illustrating wedding menus, you’ll likely find me wandering around New York with my trusty Fujifilm, capturing friends and life as I know it.

If there is one thing that has driven my passion for creating, it’s connecting. Being able to tell stories for clients through my work has proven to be one of the greatest takeaways from my own creative narrative.

I hope I can bring a pop of color to your story.
